Pocket Globe ("we", "our", "us") is committed to giving you full control over your personal data. In accordance with the Google Play Store Data Deletion Requirements and applicable Indian data protection regulations, you have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.
This page explains the methods available for account deletion, what data is removed, any data that may be retained for legal or regulatory purposes, and the timeline for completion.
How to Delete Your Account
You can request account deletion using either of the following methods:
Method 1: From Within the App
- Open the Pocket Globe app
- Go to Profile (bottom navigation)
- Tap Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll down and tap "Delete My Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
- Your account and data will be permanently deleted
Method 2: Via Email Request
- Send an email to support@pocketglobe.in
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the email address associated with your Pocket Globe account
- We will verify your identity and process the deletion
- You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
Data That Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers:
Account Information
- Your name and username
- Email address
- Google account linkage
- Profile photo (if uploaded)
- Age range and gender preferences
Travel Data
- All saved trips and itineraries
- Destination preferences and history
- Budget settings and filters
- Saved/favourited places
App Preferences
- Travel style, food, stay, and transport preferences
- Notification settings
- App customisation and display settings
Authentication Data
- Firebase authentication tokens
- Login sessions across all devices
- Password hash (if applicable)
Data That May Be Retained
In certain cases, we may retain limited data after account deletion for legitimate legal, regulatory, or security purposes. Any retained data is anonymised wherever possible.
Transaction or billing records may be retained for up to 180 days as required under applicable Indian tax and financial regulations.
Anonymised records of policy violations or abuse reports may be retained to protect the safety of the platform and its users.
Non-identifiable, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., total app opens, feature usage counts) that cannot be traced back to any individual may be retained for product improvement.
Deletion Timeline
Account data is deleted immediately upon confirmation. All active sessions are terminated instantly.
We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 15 business days of receiving your request. You will receive email confirmation once done.
Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after deletion, after which all backup copies are permanently purged.
Important Information
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, all your trips, saved places, preferences, and personal information will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
If you wish to use Pocket Globe again after deletion, you will need to create a new account from scratch.
🔒 Before You Delete, Please Note:
- Download or export any trip data you wish to keep before deleting your account
- Unlink any third-party services (e.g., Google Sign-In) if you wish to revoke access separately
- If you are experiencing an issue with the app, consider contacting support first; we may be able to help without account deletion
Third-Party Data
When you delete your Pocket Globe account, we delete all data stored on our systems. However, please note that third-party services integrated with our app may have their own data retention policies:
Firebase (Google)
Authentication data is deleted when your account is removed from our system.

Map data is fetched in real time; no personal data is stored by Google Maps through our app.

To fully revoke access, visit your Google Account permissions and remove Pocket Globe.
